The tapes worked great- it's my child that needs work. Most of the advise worked but my child is very stubborn-it will take some time to addjust to the new rules. I needed this program about 6 years ago. Thank you

Though I purchased your program for the upcoming new pre-teens in our family, a week after I received and began listening to your program, I had an incident with a grown child (age 37) who has been recalcitrant most of her life. For the first time, I felt like I had some guidance as to how to respond to her fits of rage. I calmly told her, "There is no excuse for abuse!" and walked away. It felt good to know what to say without screaming back. She continued. I called the parental support line, but since I hadn't paid the fee for this service yet, and my child was not a teenager, they could only refer me to a suicide hot line. I stayed calm and called. While trying to answer their questions, a policeman came in my front door. My daughter called the police. I had to hang up. After asking some questions, he saw how calm I was and how agitated she was. Fortunately, he told her she was grown and needed to get out of my home. Neither one of us expected that and she didn't like it. In the end. I gave her a choice to stay or leave, but she had to change if she stayed. She finally did. We talked a lot the rest of the day actually trying to listen to one another. Your program set me on the right path to communicate with her without feeling like a martyr for having raised her as a single parent. I am really encouraged now about helping the pre-teens in our family Thanks Total Transformation.

I would prefer less on abusive kids and more on normal teenage problems of
accountability for school and other responsibilities and advice on prevention of risk taking behaviors especially drugs, alcohol, driving and sex.

Service is great except that when I called on issues not covered,for my daughter age 15 w ADD, I was advised to keep total transformations and buy total focus. Total focus is even less applicable to a teenage girl.

I did gain some insight and use some tips. You should produce a total transformations for ADD teens, include
a part specific to girls and social issues with same speaker and tough love approach as total transformations.

We gained custody of our 10 year old grandson in September. We immediately put your recommendations in to action and saw grand results in just a matter of days. Wish I had had this program when I was raising his mom and uncles.

Thank you a million times over for your dedication to once again making the family a place of refuge rather than discord.

My husband and I are still working through the program, but we are taking each disc and assignment very seriously...giving each lesson our full attention and time to implement in our home. We have a blended family, which adds to the challenges of raising 3 children. My husband is a Neurosurgeon and I am a Surgical nurse, so we both have a handle on the medical system, but lacked the skills necessary to manage 1 very difficult teen, and 2 just hitting the flood of hormones. We both think this program is absolutely brilliant! Every family should be required to complete this course upon finding out that they are pregnant! What a difference this would have made in my life and my childrens' if I could have been implementing these teqniques since they were small...being more consistent and less emotional with discipline. The only reason we gave the Parental Support Line and Customer Service a score of 3 stars, was because we have not even used those services yet. The product packaging was wonderful, but, we frequently put the discs in our computer, and it would be nicer if they were video as well as audio. It is a little distracting to look at the swirling colors on the computer for an hour while the disc plays. Thank you for giving us the support we needed to feel confident with our parenting, recognize our weaknesses, and give us a plan for improving!

I have only gone through half of the program, and I wish I had more time to dedicate to it, but it is definitely something that I will return to over and over again (as needed!). The program seems to cover most problems i've been having. I started implementing some of the techniques and it seems to be working. I'm having trouble getting my wife to get through the whole program. She has a hard time diciplining the kids but is too busy to do the program. Do you have a program to transform the wife?

The program is working well. Most importantly my husband and I are getting on the same page and able to help each other when we drift from the program.
It would be most helpful if the cd's are in individual sleves as we take these with us to listen on the way to work, etc.

This product was amazing. I was completely suprised by how fast my son's attitude turned around. I definitely recommend this program to anyone who has a child that is acting out.

My wife and I were spending far too much time and stress every day trying to get my son to do his homework and behave appropriately. Total Transformation helped us break the cycle we were stuck in and gave us the problem solving perspective to correcting our child’s behavior. The tools and techniques work and we now have a less stressful and happier home. Nobody chooses to have a difficult child or children. When it happens we need to learn how to deal with it. I am only on CD #3. I have listened to the first 2 CDs repeatedly, and have listened to CD #3 three times. There is so much great information that I want to remember it all! I have used some of the techniques and have seen a positive difference in my 14 year old son's behavior and the way I resond to him. I think this program could make a HUGE difference in our family life.

I'm so thankful for your program. It is helping me become a better parent and ,therefore, have a better relationship with my kids. Consequences are easy to deliver with great results.

We are not completely thru all of the disc yet, but, it has made a phenomenal difference in the way our household is functioning. We are having FUN again and the arguing, yelling, etc. has pretty much stopped completely.

I wish we had this years ago. It would have saved our family so much pain. Your methods make so much sense. Our job at this point was made exceedingly clear with the concept that with this program we can be the best parents we know how to be. Because I can only listen to the CDs in the car (when I'm alone) - I'm only through the 5th CD. I've kept up in the workbook when I'm sitting in Dr's offices, etc. It's hard to remember the "right" thing to say/do in the heat of the moment, although there's a great deal of terrific information. Almost too much, as I'm never quite sure which thing I'm supposed to say or do at the time an outburst occurs!
Unfortunately, my husband doesn't have a CD in his truck, so he has not listened to them yet. That will change, I hope, as he just lost his job and I've told him that now would be a good time to start listening to the program as he's home alone during the day.

I felt this pointed out some pretty obvious skills that are simple and work quite well. Some things work better than others and I feel it would be beneficial to repeat listening to the program and doing the exercises for re-enforcement. I have no contact with Parental Support Line but intend to ask some very specific questions for our situation after I redo the program.

Well I think the program is great but not for me for my HUSBAND - I actually have not gone through the program, only the first chapter (really busy) but my husband (who is a complete wimp around these issues, or used to be) now I think really gets it about how you can't allow these outbursts then act like nothing happened. Outbursts have lessened a little but the way my husband handles them is MUCH BETTER. Just yesterday he saidto her she could be mad aobut going to the dentist (which she did not want to do because of course she haad not done what she was supposed to do) but you can not yell and stop around. She eventually went, but he gave her a consequence for her behavior anyway (no computer) and she accepted it - I was impressed. I ewill try to finish the program myself soon I gave low stars to parts of the program i have not used yet

It's been a little over a month since we've had our last screaming match in our house. We live in a peaceful serene home now. I used to hate waking up in the morning, hate coming home from work/errands, and would do anything to put off coming home because I knew as soon as I stepped in the door the yelling and screaming would start. Now, my 9 yr old daughter gets up in the mornings, takes her meds, eats, and gets right to her (home)school work. No questions asked. This morning she even asked to be woken up an hour early so she would be done with her school work before her noon riding lesson. After I came out of my shock I agreed and this morning went just like as smooth as every other so far. She does as she's asked teh first time now, there's no fighting to get her school work done, we've pretty much gotten rid of the name calling and hitting, life is good. We're so impressed with what a different person she is...thank you so much.

I am very satisfied with the program. I think James Lehman really knows what he is talking about. My son is doing better since I got the Total Transformation. James gives easy step by step instructions on how to deal with children that do not listen. Overall, I am so glad that I ordered the program and will keep applying the concepts i have learned in this program.

The total transformation has been the most revelational tool I have used ... ever. It is by far the best thing to happen to me and my family.
I really expected to be told how to fix my kids but instead I have been shown how to fix my actions as a parent to help my kids. I have seen the enemy and it is me ... but not for long. I now have tools that work and my family situation is changing. Total transformation has been awesome.
As I write this review, my bipolar, adhd daughter is having a mild melt down because 1) she is frustrated with a homework assignment 2) I won't just accept slop because that's all she is capable of doing.

I'm not mad and I'm not stuck in the trap of trying to fix her attitude. The task needs to be done and will be done. No wild emotions on my part, no guilt, no ineffectiveness, no savior, no martyr, no negotioator ... it's great!! I love the Total Transformation.

James direct approach has been invaluable to my wife and me. We have been able to see what we were doing wrong and now have specific words and techniques to use in guiding our children. A very important phrase James taught us is that "our job is not to have successful children but to be effective parents". Unfortunately, drugs and alcohol problems interfere with the positive progress our sons could be making. Once these are taken care of I can now see how to better manage the constant conflict in our house. If my wife and I had this information when my sons were small we probably would not be having all these problems now. Thank you James.
