The program has been extremely beneficial in returning some sanity to our household. I would recommend this program(and have recommended it)to anyone experienceing rough spots in their daily lives raising their children.

I really like the transformation program. It has given me encouragement to know someone cares to give such helpful tools in managing my child's behavior. It really works to help direct my child to be responsible for his choice of words and actions to others. I am hoping to get further into the program these next few months. I am starting lesson 3. I know results will take time so I hope to be patient through it all.

This program was given to me as a gift. I have found it extremely helpful and practice the techniques everyday. (Sometimes I even try it on my husband). Learning the type of parent I am and the type of child he is has also made it a little easier to find the right way to deal with him. We adopted him when he was two years old. His birth mother is my neice, so this makes things harder due to contact with her,(holidays and special occasions). He gets very upset and destroys things or starts being disrepsectful to me and abusive towards his neices. He was diagnosed with ADHD and put on ritalin. That caused a phycotic breakdown and he tried to commit suicide at age ten. They put him in an institution for 7 days, re-diagnosing him with fetal alcohol syndrome. My son is a bright person, with limited ability to think before he acts. He is easily over stimulated and cannot have stimulants such as chocolate or caffeine. We have to limit sugar as well. We have been fairly successful just with having a fairly strict household. We have more problems with lying and stealing than disrespectfulness. He also has trouble in school, teachers love him, but he does not do his work, or does a half job of it when he does it. We have used the program techniques to help with the lying, which is what is most important to me. He lies even when the truth would be more to his advantage. We have only been using the program for six weeks and I can see a difference in his behavior. He will bite his lip to refrain from back-talking in order not to lose his iPod for the next 24 hours. He will bring his homework home so he doesn't lose TV for the night,(doesn't always turn it in). He has brought his grades up from f's and d's to d's and c's, which is improvement anyway. If he loses control during sports, (we play in the street with his neices) he has to take a time out and apologize (saying what he did) before he can return to the games. If it happens and again, he cannot play the rest of the day.
I have learned so much about the type of parent I am and am learning to be a more effective parent. I have never felt I needed to be my childrens friend, but I didn't want them to feel our home was a hostile environment either. This program has helped me find a happy medium. I have felt a huge weight lift off of me,and now he is responsible and I just set up the consequences and rewards.

I got this program because we were having such troubles with my son, and we had already tried so many different things with no change. I haven't even made it past the 3rd lesson, and already things are tremendously improved. I haven't even had the opportunity to practice lesson 3, which is why I haven't moved beyond that. We are now going on 6 weeks of peace where we had had few days of peace before that. So far, so good.

The Total Transformation Program has great advice that is mostly common sense. However, when parenting we need constant reminders specially when we doubt ourselves. The Total Transformation Program helps you to be assertive and also adds to what you probably already know. The only thing that would make this a better program would be to hear the techniques being used with actual situations. The examples portrayed wouldn't normally work out quite that smoothley and it would help to know how things would be handled even in the midst of frustration. The cost is a bit high but if it works it's worth every penny. Like I said this program has good advice and it's work in progress. Based on what we have done so far I would recommend this program.

I am totally amazed by the results I have gotten so far. I can't believe the changes I've seen in my grandson. It's really good to have him around without the constant arguements and the attitude he before. I no longer want to put him through the wall on a daily basis. Thank you so much for showing me the way to deal with him.

Parents of stubborn son, TX
Very briefly:
First CD was a little boring except for James. THe dialogue between James and parents (actors?) didn't hold my interest, but James's comments sure did.
Doing program in conjuction with counseling, but we are seeing immediate results (within 3 weeks) of really applying the principles. Best one so far is setting reasonable limits. We never thought about the indifference developed by our son when the consequences period was "too long."
Have recommended the program to two other families - new ideas and great reminders.

A just good mom
I have 15 yo and 9 yo sons.I am an experienced parent with 2 grown up children who are doing very well.I am a single parent who has gone through a divorce and is still experiencing the wrath of the x husband almost 3 years later. I sent away for TT because I needed help with my 15 yo. It also became apparent that the tools taught in the TT program would be useful for my younger son aswell. The program has helped in several ways.J Leyman is clear about parenting and has the forsight to know what it takes to function well in society as an adult, without letting excuses be the answer to why the kids are the way they are. He talks about teaching children accountability and responsability. He teaches us as parents ways to look at our parenting skills and to evaluate them by how effective they are with the kids we've got.I have learned alot from the program and am applying what I have learned on a daily basis. So far I am seeing some results. Some in my children(though discrete)and more in myself. I feel better prepared to deal with my role as a parent.I have gained considerable insight into my parenting ways. I realize that I have alot of changing to do before I become a truly effective parent.I am still having difficulty being "the tough guy". I don't always know how, which ,or what consequences to apply to enforcing them. I seem to lack the common sense that most people have regarding being an effective parent.I am too soft, nurturing and forgiving. I don't know how effective the overall outcome of this course will be, however I know that as a parent there should be more education available to parents instead of the general "hit and miss" style that commonly is put into practise today.I am sure that many of J Leymans pieces of advice are extremely useful to parents.I am grateful for the program.

I must've heard the commercial 100 times before I finally decided to order. Wow!!!! Why did I hesitate!!!
I have 5 children. They all listen to me now. We are a blended family of: he had two boys, I had two boys, and we had a little girl together. Even my five year old who was quite spoiled listens to me. There is no more power struggle in the grocery store. I recommend your program all the time. Unfortunately, there are too many people who doubt like I did. But I finally smartened up and called. Thank you so much.

Fabulous Content! Empowering Parents is priceless!
I'm an extraordinarily good Dad. But having said that, your program has enhanced my childrearing and family life skills such that our lives are substantially improved.
Your information and its presentation dramatically illustrate that becoming a congruent and supportive parent is a learned skill, and in many ways counterintuitive.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

A parent sometimes needs to hear truths about the hows and whys of their dilemmas with their child. However, when heard from friends or family these truths are often presented in a way that is felt to be an attack on the character or intelligence of the parent. The result: the truths are not heard.
The Total Transformation CD's present the truths in a way that you can't help but understand. Instead of feeling attacked, the parent feels at peace with and comprehends past decisions. More importantly, the parent learns how to develop a new set of problem solving/coping skills that can be used with the child as well as other areas of life. The result: the child learns new problem solving/coping skills. The best part is, it all makes perfect sense.

I love this program, it has taught me so much. My son was diagnosed as bipolar and takes meds for it. The dx is debateable but the meds do seem to help him sleep at night. I'm an older mom (39) of 2 boys 4 and 5. I had't been around kids until I had my own so I don't have a comparison. All I ever here is teachers calling me to tell me what my son has done wrong. What I've seen is teachers making mistakes causing the problems. James, please do what you can to get your program into the schools, teachers need this; they are with our children more hours each day than parents are. The parents can't be the only ones to blame for our childrens misbehavior.

total transformation does not only help transfor a badly behaved child but it helps transform the parent(s) so that they their authority back and focus on what the parent's role is, "teaching". Not fighting and feeling guilty but teaching morals and how to live productively in society. The total transformation program has helped me focus my energy on being the parent I know I can be.

Thankful Parent
To date, we have not completed the program. I am taking my time and reviewing the material as needed. We actually are in week 4.
However, I have seen a big change in my child at home. At school, his behavior still seems to be inconsistent. I feel like I take 2 steps forward and 1 step back. Maybe this is why we haven't moved forward as fast as we should.
I would say this about the program. I think, so far, it is wonderful. As a parent I have learned that many of the techniques I was using weren't as effective and those suggested. I also learned that that didn't make me a bad parent too. I just needed a new way of addressing my child's behavior. All I was equipped with was my parents approach (on me).
I am still encouraged about the program and would love to take this review again as it comes to a close.
Thanks again ~ a thankful parent

We have two sons ages nine and five. The older child is ADHD/ODD and the younger son is diagnosed with PDD. I have had great results thus far with Owen, the older son.I feel very fortunate to have come in contact with the Total Transformation Program. We are surely still in the beginning stages but I feel we have a good jump on things as the boys are still pre teen and easier to work with as apposed to teenage children. Perhaps I can give you another update down the road.
Sincerely,
John Snyder/York PA.

As soon as I listened to and read each lesson, I immediately put the lesson into action. It has really helped me feel more in control like I used to feel when my twins (now 13) were babies. It is a straight forward and easy to understand program. I used this program in my home because(it's embarassing to admit, but..)my the kids in my classroom listened better than my own kids at home! Things have certainly turned around in our home. Yes, I have slipped a few times into my "old" non effective parenting style, but I notice right away, and use the what I have learned from James to take back control of the situation.

We have listened to and applied many of the techniques described to us in the program and have seen amazing results. Our two children responded right away to the techniques and it has changed the whole tone of our home. I feel more able to deal with behaviors than I did before. Thank you very much for putting these techniques in an easy to learn format.

From the movie Parenthood, "You know, you have to have a lisence to drive, a lisence to vote, heck, you even need a lisence to fish but they'll let any reaming ------- be a parent!" Total Transformation gave the skills we needed that if one needed a lisence to parent we would pass. Thank you. Our children are responding wonderfully and our home is experienceing more frequent times of peace.

The program is outstanding. The hardest part is to be consistent with the implementation.
We still need to get better with following through on the consequences but we have seen an improvement in our son and that is what we were looking for.
The tools are great and it certainly helps to have a full toolbox when working.
