I wish we had this years ago. It would have saved our family so much pain. Your methods make so much sense. Our job at this point was made exceedingly clear with the concept that with this program we can be the best parents we know how to be. Because I can only listen to the CDs in the car (when I'm alone) - I'm only through the 5th CD. I've kept up in the workbook when I'm sitting in Dr's offices, etc. It's hard to remember the "right" thing to say/do in the heat of the moment, although there's a great deal of terrific information. Almost too much, as I'm never quite sure which thing I'm supposed to say or do at the time an outburst occurs!
Unfortunately, my husband doesn't have a CD in his truck, so he has not listened to them yet. That will change, I hope, as he just lost his job and I've told him that now would be a good time to start listening to the program as he's home alone during the day.

I felt this pointed out some pretty obvious skills that are simple and work quite well. Some things work better than others and I feel it would be beneficial to repeat listening to the program and doing the exercises for re-enforcement. I have no contact with Parental Support Line but intend to ask some very specific questions for our situation after I redo the program.

Well I think the program is great but not for me for my HUSBAND - I actually have not gone through the program, only the first chapter (really busy) but my husband (who is a complete wimp around these issues, or used to be) now I think really gets it about how you can't allow these outbursts then act like nothing happened. Outbursts have lessened a little but the way my husband handles them is MUCH BETTER. Just yesterday he saidto her she could be mad aobut going to the dentist (which she did not want to do because of course she haad not done what she was supposed to do) but you can not yell and stop around. She eventually went, but he gave her a consequence for her behavior anyway (no computer) and she accepted it - I was impressed. I ewill try to finish the program myself soon I gave low stars to parts of the program i have not used yet

It's been a little over a month since we've had our last screaming match in our house. We live in a peaceful serene home now. I used to hate waking up in the morning, hate coming home from work/errands, and would do anything to put off coming home because I knew as soon as I stepped in the door the yelling and screaming would start. Now, my 9 yr old daughter gets up in the mornings, takes her meds, eats, and gets right to her (home)school work. No questions asked. This morning she even asked to be woken up an hour early so she would be done with her school work before her noon riding lesson. After I came out of my shock I agreed and this morning went just like as smooth as every other so far. She does as she's asked teh first time now, there's no fighting to get her school work done, we've pretty much gotten rid of the name calling and hitting, life is good. We're so impressed with what a different person she is...thank you so much.

I am very satisfied with the program. I think James Lehman really knows what he is talking about. My son is doing better since I got the Total Transformation. James gives easy step by step instructions on how to deal with children that do not listen. Overall, I am so glad that I ordered the program and will keep applying the concepts i have learned in this program.

I haven't looked threw the whole package yet but what I have used has been remarkable. I would recommend this program to anyone and already have. Thank you so much. Jane Brown

The total transformation has been the most revelational tool I have used ... ever. It is by far the best thing to happen to me and my family.
I really expected to be told how to fix my kids but instead I have been shown how to fix my actions as a parent to help my kids. I have seen the enemy and it is me ... but not for long. I now have tools that work and my family situation is changing. Total transformation has been awesome.
As I write this review, my bipolar, adhd daughter is having a mild melt down because 1) she is frustrated with a homework assignment 2) I won't just accept slop because that's all she is capable of doing.

I'm not mad and I'm not stuck in the trap of trying to fix her attitude. The task needs to be done and will be done. No wild emotions on my part, no guilt, no ineffectiveness, no savior, no martyr, no negotioator ... it's great!! I love the Total Transformation.

James direct approach has been invaluable to my wife and me. We have been able to see what we were doing wrong and now have specific words and techniques to use in guiding our children. A very important phrase James taught us is that "our job is not to have successful children but to be effective parents". Unfortunately, drugs and alcohol problems interfere with the positive progress our sons could be making. Once these are taken care of I can now see how to better manage the constant conflict in our house. If my wife and I had this information when my sons were small we probably would not be having all these problems now. Thank you James.

I found myself realizing the mistakes I've been making with my 3 children (ages 5, 3, and 1). My 5 year old was the reason for trying out the program and I've seen a difference in my disciplining and his behavior. However, that being said, I wish there was more to help me with his particular age. The program seems to be focused more towards teens. I would be interested in the next program dealing CONSEQUENCES, but I hear it is also geared toward older children. I need much more help in the "consequence" area!

Im raising my grandson. He wouldnt do his work, and when he did he wouldnt turn it in. It seemed like the harder we tryed the worse he got.Our rules have been the same from the time he was 2.There would be home work from the time he got home from school until bed time.I had to stand over him giving him instructions all the way through. He was disoganized, didnt seem to care about what we were trying to teach him. We changed schools thinking that the teachers didnt have the time or a program for helping him. When his report card came he was failing everything. All I could do is cry.I did not want to go down the same road that my daughter did. I couldnt afford a psychiatrist so I went to a near by Army base to seek some help. They told me to call the police dept. They couldnt help me either. I sat in my car crying in dispare, then I heard your commercial. I wrote the number down, rushed home and ordered the program. It was just a few days when it got here. I couldnt wait to listen to the program. I went to my sewing room and played the CD's. It was an answer from heaven. Every night my grandson listens to the Kids Only CD. He can now repeat it word for word and his grades are getting better and better. I couldnt believe the difference it has made in all our lives. There is less tension at home, homework is almost done befor he gets home. His test grades are improveing every week. Everything you buy now days has instructions with it except for children. Every parent and every parent to be should listen to this program. I have 6 grandchildren that has the same problem. They will all listen to the Total Transformation Program. I tell everyone that I talk to that is having problems and is at wits end about the program.Thank you for helping my family be happy again. Now my grandson is proud to bring home his papers. He cant wait to pull his grades up on the computer and see the improvements that he has made. He is being more responsible and more organized. You can see he is taking more pride in his work and everyday life. He is a much happier child and gets to enjoy a true childhood and not staying grounded all the time. Thank you ever so much.

I purchased the program for my daughter who lives in Paris, France. It was perfectly timed. As we watched the first programs together, a light of support and reconition was clearly apparent.... and a few tears. The ball is in their court now.
Hopefully my 13 year old grand-daughter, who has everyone pulling their out, will be Transformed and normalcy can return to the family

I started listening to the CDs and thought to myself WOW. It has helped my husband and I recognize our mistakes and parent my 5 1/2 year old the way she needs to be parented. I just spoke with parent support as I had a specific issue that I needed help with and not only was customer service SUPER friendly but the gentleman I spoke to really went into the situation and gave me several ways to address the issue. My daughter's pcp also was very pleased to hear that we love this program as they have heard of it but no one to actually work with it.
I love it and would never send it back. I'm getting ready to listen through the program again. Thank you Mr Leahman for helping us find our bundle of joy again.

The tactics work! But, if parents get lazy upholding the program the same habits will repeat themselves.
Kids are smart. They see a little weakness in the system and they go for it. I myself have to stick with the system. It works, over the holidays I have gotten lazy. My child is negotiating and acting out again.
Time to get back on a time schedule and let him know what is acceptable. '

My husband an I have found the Total The Total Transformation Program was very helpful in dealing with recurring disrespect and violence problems with our 2 teenage boys. The CDs were great because we could refer to them again and again as needed. They gave us tools to deal with situations that the psychologists we talked to could not. I am glad we have the Total Transformation CDs they were well worth the investment.

i am a biblical counselor. i was concerned that the program would not fit the biblical parameters, but overall i was able to apply Scripture to the majority of the topics. I have a 13 and 11 year old, and i have had trouble with controlling my anger and tone of voice. I discovered most of my frustration came from too much unnecessary discussion. Thank you for the tools that you share on correct thinking.

I truly believed the program to be exceptional! However it only helped me realize the way I could be and never helped me truly transform my child's behavior. My son who is 14 has an actual medical condition and was just diagnosed before Christmas. It was an actual relief to know that it wasn't the way I was responding to him or him to I. I thank you for letting me try your system and I have recommended it to many of my friends. I only wished this came as a gift for all parents when we have our newborns in hand. I do think though with all the things in life that have seemed to change is a root cause to ill behavior. I say people start excepting responsibility for our own actions and do not blame others, we'd be a much better society.

When my first child was born 26 years ago, I read everything I could get my hands on about child rearing/parenting. Most everything ended up creating a constant nagging sense of guilt and constant questioning of myself and everything I did as a parent. All these years later, I have a 22 yr old at home, who is basically a good kid ie: no drinking, drugs, sleeping around BUT constant disrepct and attitude. Just the 10- 1 Minute Transformation audio gave me a new outlook and hope. My husband and I are working thru this slowly, but are beginning to feel free of the guilt and believing that this new road will free both us and our daughter from a ton of tension, as well as helping her to finish the journey into young adulthood with the tools she needs to function well in society.

Overall the program helps deal with the difficult situations dealing with your children. I thoroughly enjoy hearing the suggestions given for specific problems that occur and then putting them into use and seeing them work. Maybe not the first time I'll say something but once my children see me sticking to my words their behavior changes. The program has given me the confidence to stay strong and made me realize that I have to maintain a steady parenting model for my children so my children know I'm the one in control not them.

I ordered the program for my son and his wife. I, personally have not used the backup/support line. However I have been told that the couple of times they did use it they were satisfied and treated with respect. I think your advice is excellent. The concept is consistent and helpful. You are constantly reinforcing it so that it is understandable. I also ordered James Lehman's DVD on Consequences and personally have watched it. If one doesn't think they have time to do the entire program, this DVD in itself is worth the money.
The best part of the program is the improvement that I see in my grandchildren and the empowerment that their parents are feeling. They used to feel alone and helpless; they now have confidence in what they are doing.

We are impressed with the simplicity of the tips to begin using and found it very easy to follow.
