There is great advice for parents in Total Transformation. I purchased the set for my daughter who is the only parent of a 5 yr old boy. I have listen to all the classes with her and think it will save both my grandson and my daughter a lot of pain in the future. Hope there is a way to give more parents and kids these tools. I purchased The Total Transformation because I love my grandson and want the best for him.

I love the no bargaining, straight shooting approach. Not grounding for a week, just 2 hrs. from a cell phone got the message across. He mentioned he thought it was a lame punishment but he did what I asked!

There has been a lot less yelling and more respectful behavior. I think it is wonderful and wish I had gotten it when he was 5! Thanks!

Had a couple problems with the CDs but Customer Service was wonderful and took care of the problem.

We are doing it bit by bit. After long days at work, we're tired but we are plugging away at it. We have already incorporated alot of the ideas into our parenting and because some of the material is dense, we have to read and re-read or listen to it again so that it becomes more second nature. I have to say, I really believe in the concepts. We know this isn't a quick fix. Good things take time and effort.

I think the Total Transformation is valuable and hepled me change how I saw and dealt with the situation with my 17 year old son, who was defiant, arguementive, namecalling, failing grades, etc... It gave me some confidence, without shame and guilt that I am the one doing something wrong. It gave me some back bone to see the reality and follow through with action, instead of hoping it would get better.
The difficulty I had is doing the lessons on my own and having enough time to sit down and listen, read, and answer questions on my own. It would be beneficial to me to meet in a group of other parents doing the same program and discuss it together, get feedback, encourage each other, etc..

As parents, we want our children to have everything we did not. We give and give and give. We make excuses for their poor behavior, have low expectations, and feel guilty if we deny their enormous wants. In today's society, everyone has to be a winner. We are teaching our children that life is equal and fair in their early, most formative years. We wouldn't want a child to wear lifelong scars because he didn't win prizes and accolades every-time another child does.
Bottom line is, as parents, we are helping our kids into helplessness! I see it over and over again in the ways that parents interact with their young children. They do just about everything for them, even homework. Parents don’t allow their kids to feel the full consequences of their actions and most important, talk down to their children. When parents do punish their children the punishments tend to be unreasonable, and the parents take turns with loud lectures that go on and on, or they try to ladle guilt on their children hoping that will change their behavior. By the time the kids get to high school, the parent has lost complete control over their child and the child has lost all respect for their parents and most other adults in their lives. Add to that the slap in the face the teen gets when he finds out the life is not equal and you get left behind if you can't keep up.
Total Transformation is a wonderful program, but parents are not willing to put the time energy and effort into being consistent. Parents do not want to hear that as roll models, they have taught their children exactly how to behave so rudely and with such disrespect. In reality, it takes only weeks to accomplish peace and harmony in the home, and gain respect from your children if you follow the program step by step. However, in this world of instant gratification, it’s easier to medicate a child as a means of controlling them rather than providing them with rules, boundaries, limitations, and follow through on what you say you are going to do.
How can we expect our children to be any different from us, if as parents we will not take the time to work through issues, why should our kids?
Because I said so, or do as I say, not as I do, has never worked and is an insult to our children’s intelligence!

The Total Transformation Program is a great tool for parents. It is a good supplement to private therapy as well.

My 15 yr old is giving us a really hard time. She has always been the most level headed mature child until she started high school and all that went out the window. We were at a loss as to how to help her deal with this new found immaturity. I ordered this as a last resort. It has helped me to know how to deal with her issues and to see in advance what she is up to and how she plays me and my husband against one another but total transformation has helped us to work together to resolve these issues. Total transformation is really so simple I didn't think it could possibly work, it is something I have to listen to several times for re-enforcements but the peace of mind is worth the price. We haven't completly resolved all the problems but it is a work in progress now instead of a hopeless cause. Thank you for your help.

For the first time ever I have tools that I can wrap my head and heart around. I have learned that my parents divorce was contributory in my ineffective parenting. I am able to approach things with the goal of teaching instead of controlling. Sometimes they look the same, but teaching is an inner peace, while controlling was always an internal and external struggle.

After listening to the first CD I realized the problem started with me. It was about how I was raising my grandson more than about his actions. He was treating me the same way I treated him. I was being too protective and treating him like a child and not a teenager with responsibilities and now I understand why he resented me. Now I give him guidance, love, kindness and trust. I can't believe the change in our grandson even his grades have soared and no more skipping school. We actually have adult conversations and he has let me into his world. His
car used to be full of trash now he even keeps his car clean. He changed his eating habits no more junk food, only fruits and water for snacks. Total Transformation has made me a better grandmother which gave me a wonderful grandson! My son gave me this for a Christmas present and it has been the best I could ever receive.

the information in the total transformation cds are more informative than any doctor or counselor we've been to. it's not magic but a process in working with techniques for both myself and my daughter.the parent support line has been very helpful.thank you

We have been listening and implementing what we have learned weekly with our 14 year old daughter. Things are improving slowly but we realize that we need to continue practicing the new parenting skills we are learning. We started seeking professional assistance with raising our daughter when she was very young. We have tried counseling several times with little improvement. As she grew, the issues have become more challenging and we often felt lost. My husband and I are hopeful that this program will teach us the parenting skills we need to parent our daughter effectively. We like the approach and feel that so far the results from implementing these techniques have worked better than anything else we have tried in the past. Our pediatrician recommended this program after we took our daughter to her because she purposely injured her own hand by hitting a wall in anger when we applied a consequence.

The best part of the program are the one minute transformations. They are common sense antidotes that when we all had one child, we would remember to utilize. Adding a few more to the mix and dealing with multiple special needs children changed our family dynamic and common sense sometimes goes out the window. Those little reminders help put it all in perspective. I love listening to that CD and then going back thru the program to see how the topics relate directly to those tips. This program is written for every member of the family, but in our house, it seemed to hit home w/the dad the most; I believe he was looking for something to "change the children" but he started to change his own behavior and that was the catalyst. James' no nonsense delivery indicates he's seen it all in different phases of his own life and he is someone to reckon with. Plus, who can resist listening to that thick accent of his! :)

Very pleased at the information in the Total Transformation Program. I have raised 4 children and now am raising my grand daughter. I only wish I had this program when I raised my children. It is filled with ideas that work. It is practical, simple and easy to understand. I feel like I have a new child in the house.

Total Transformation helped us relate to our teenager in a more effective manner. It was obvoius to us that what we were doing wasn\'t working, but we weren\'t sure what we should be doing differently.

After litening to Total Transformation we spoke to our son differently and got the reaction we wanted. We are now learning how to parent this child differently than we have parented our other children.

Having seen and heard so many ridiculous advertisements and commercials, I ignored the Total Transformation commercials for many months. As our home life and happiness deteriorated I decided to take a chance. The program has been worth every penny and I wish I had purchased it long ago, before spending so much on counselors.

I now feel that parenting without the skills and techniques taught by the Total Transformation is comparable to entering a tri-athalon without learning how to swim. The early portions may go great, and you may even struggle through the "sink or swim" portion without severe consequences. However, in the end you will most likely be exhausted, fail to get admirable results, and may even look back at your decisions with a lot of regret.

I have four sons that will all see a lifetime of benefits from the information I gained through The Total Transformation.

I think that Total Transformation is the best program I have seen on the market. After a very hard year financially, we are just now beginning to dig through the material to help our 11 year old who was diagnosed by a neuro- psychologist with a handful of learning disorders, plus ADHD and ODD (Oppositional Defiance Disorder). The instructions are clear and simple, and the concepts are easy to grasp.

We have tried other programs on the market, which had they not been so complicated to instill, may have been productive. However, with a number of these programs, the parents would wind up spending hours administrating the program and every evening totaling up points as rewards (Child as Cog). That did not work for us at all...

Total Transformation is easy to learn, easy to implement, and the concepts are simple enough to teach even the shortest attention span...

The thing I like best is Mr. Lehman's emphasis on the fact that it doesn't really matter what the diagnosis--kids must learn to become productive, behaving adults, able to function in society. After 18, society is less than forgiving for personality disorders or ODD. So, the end game is the same for everyone--to create a productive citizen.

We look forward to digging into this program and seeing more results with our 11 year old boy!

Have completed lesson 1 and 6 (had to jump ahead to save my sanity; 13-year-old melt down avoider). I am not what you would call proficient using your program but felt I had a handle on it enough to ward off an otherwise huge disaster. It wasn't smooth by any stretch of the imagination but the other one of us was much happier after slogging through the process. She is a fighter (but I can out-do her)!
I have raised four of my own children and helped raise my younger siblings. They were pretty easy compared to my grand daughter. She is the biggest challenge I have ever taken on. Raising kids to be well adapted, accountable people is so vital to the fabric of our modern day society, and a tough, tough job.
There is a ton of common sense in this program that deals with the meat of the character-building problem. The methods used are honest and to the point. The ideas may or may not be new to some but once you identify how everyone involved is respected and held accountable this process can't help but work.
The Support Line staff is knowlegeable and intuitive. In this age of technology I really appreciated being able to talk to a breathing, thinking intelligent person!
The work book made me identify, and therefore have a better understanding of, just exactly what the problem was in our interactions. I realized this awareness was necessary before I could know what tools to use and when.
Everyone knows something of what is taught in this course but having it all laid out in an orderly fashion and having someone confirm what you already suspected gives you strength and conviction. Wow, did I need that!
So far, so good. Will keep you posted as to how the saga plays out.

This is an amazing program. Both my husband and I actually agree on the strategies and suggestions. They will work for anyone if you follow the program. Our son has done a complete 360 on his behavour and attitude and we owe this to the total transformation program.

Total Transformation has totally transformed the way I handle difficulties with my teenagers! It has helped ME with my problem solving skills!!!
